First Cohort Launched!

This July marks a huge milestone for the Student Healthcare Institute. We officially launched our very first cohort of students!

In our first workshop, students got to step into the world of healthcare, one step closer to becoming healthcare providers. Our first session started with a fun icebreaker hosted by our TAs, and then learning and practicing vital signs, which are fundamental skills.

From blood pressure and pulse to temperature and respiratory rate, our students got to practice on each other and their TAs. It was fun to watch our students learn quickly, work together, and ask questions. For many, this was their first time using medical equipment.

This launch represents more than just the start of a program. It’s the beginning of our mission to empower the next generation of healthcare leaders who are able to find enjoyment and purpose in their work. We are inspiring students who are curious, compassionate, and ready to provide patient-centered care.
